NewslettersNewsletter NEWSLETTER SEPTEMBER 2008 WELCOME Sunday 7th September 2008 is the date the new season kicks off. On behalf of the Club we welcome everyone both old and new and wish you the best of luck for all your fixtures in the 2008-2009 season. A few important Housekeeping points to be complied with at all times. 1. For Health and Safety reasons NO DOGS are allowed on the sports ground at Redfearns or Milefield, with the exception of course of guide dogs. There are some notices up around the ground to this effect. Anyone breaking this rule will be politely asked to put the dog in the car or leave the ground. Managers please inform the Manager of your opponents when you arrange a game. 2. Weekly subscriptions must be paid by all players, whether they attend training or not. Costs to the club are escalating - particularly when you take into account winter training. Unfortunately we have had to increase these to £3.50 per week with immediate effect. 3. ALL players MUST wear Shin Pads (This includes match days and training) and also bring a drink. 4. By all means encourage players, but please leave the actual coaching to the managers. Players can be confused listening to instructions from different sources. Please see letter attached. 5. Please respect the club grounds and dispose of your rubbish responsibly in the bins provided. 6. As a Club we are expected to introduce the new FA initiative “Respect” which involves segregating managers and spectators, please conform with the information/instructions from your manager. WEBSITE We are continuously updating the website, so please keep checking for updates. The site offers a vast amount of information, including Team Information, Sponsor Information, Match Reports, links to the FA and Sheffield League Fixtures, Social Events and much more. Please remember to forward any photos of any matches/tournaments etc to your manager who will arrange for them publishing on the photo album section of the website. Any feedback on the website or fundraising ideas is much appreciated. Please use the feedback form or e-mail link on the Contacts page to submit your comments or alternatively liaise with your manager. SOCIAL EVENTS A fundraising Race Night has been arranged at Dorothy Hyman on Friday 24TH October commencing at 7.30pm. This is sure to be a fun night out for all the family. Horses and Jockeys are available to purchase from your manager priced at £2 each. The person buying the horse gets to choose its name – please keep it clean! Prize for each winning Owner and Jockey. In addition, we are also looking for sponsors for each race, which will be on sale for £10. There will be 7 races in total; however the horses in the 7th race will be auctioned on the night. DISICPLINARY Following a couple of incidents towards the end of last season we must highlight that every Manager, Coach, Official, Child and Parent must adhere to the Clubs Code of Conduct – copies available online at www.redfearns.net If anyone contravenes this code in future, whether at training, match days or social events, disciplinary action will be taken. FA LEVEL 1 COACHING & REFEREES COURSE If anyone is interested in taking the FA Level 1 or Referees Coaching Course please contact the Secretary Laura Halstead. CLUB SPONSOR The Club are continuously looking for Sponsors for kit, equipment and assistance towards running costs. We are able to tailor packages to suit potential sponsors.
