EventsMEADOW COURT GREYHOUND STADIUM MEADOW COURT GREYHOUND STADIUM FRIDAY 28 SEPTEMBER 2007 £3/4m investment in grass roots sport by greyhound tracks Between April 2007 and March 2008 28 leading greyhound tracks in England will be offering grass roots, community sports clubs a unique fundraising opportunity. 6 local clubs will be invited to take part in each evening. Each club will receive a minimum 100 tickets FREE to sell to their own members, friends and family. The tickets have a face value of £5 each providing clubs with an opportunity to raise up to £500 to help fund the development of their club. In total this will equate to a £750,000 injection into grass roots sport by the greyhound industry. To add to the drama and fun on the evening the 6 clubs compete against each other on the track. Each club is allocated a trap number and the dogs then run to win points for their club. The winning team is then crowned GSL champions and receives a commemorative trophy. Redfearns JFC have been invited to take part in such on Friday 28 September 2007 at Meadow Court Greyhound Stadium, Doncaster. The 6 clubs have been assigned a trap number and will race out of the same trap for each of the six races. The position the dog finishes in each race translates to points on a league table (win = 7, 2nd = 5, 3rd = 4 etc.) The club that finishes with the highest points total will be crowned GSL Champions. This event gives us the opportunity to raise £500 for club funds and have a fun evening out. Under 18`s will be admitted for free. Please give the Club your support at this event and help us to raise much needed funds etc. Tickets will be available from managers.
